Thermal & corrosion coatings for fuel storage tanks
Cut evaporation, stabilize temperature, and stop corrosion on aviation, gasoline, and LPG storage tanks with SUPER THERM® and RUST GRIP® applied as a system.
Request technical adviceThe problem
Above-ground fuel storage tanks absorb direct solar radiation and reach 50–60°C internal temperatures during Israeli summers. The consequences: increased evaporative loss of jet fuel and gasoline, elevated internal pressures with safety implications, and accelerated corrosion on steel surfaces cycling between heat and humidity.
The solution
We deliver a two-layer system: RUST GRIP® as a corrosion-locking primer directly on the steel (15,000+ salt-spray hours verified), with SUPER THERM® as a topcoat that reflects 96.1% of solar radiation. The combination extends tank service life and keeps fuel temperature stable through summer.
Results
At Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, this exact system on jet-bridges and tanks delivered documented cooling-load reductions. Chevron’s 8-year RUST GRIP® study on drill pipes showed industry-leading performance. In Israel, this matters for IAA tankage, oil-company terminals, and petrochemical sites.

Frequently asked questions
Is the coating safe for fuel storage?
The coating is external only and never contacts the fuel. SUPER THERM® and RUST GRIP® meet MIL-SPEC for petroleum-industry assets.
What temperature reduction can I expect?
Field readings on large tanks show 10–15°C drops on the external surface at midday. Internal reduction depends on tank size, fuel volume, and turnover.
